- 1 can chickpeas, drained and rinsed
- 2 cups broccoli florets
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce (or tamari for gluten-free)
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- Optional: lemon juice, red pepper flakes
Instructions
- Heat a large nonstick pan over medium heat with a small amount of oil.
- Add minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Add the broccoli florets and sauté until vibrant and slightly tender.
- Incorporate the chickpeas and stir to combine.
- Pour in the soy sauce and mix well.
- Finish with sesame oil, lemon juice, and any optional spices you like.
- Serve hot, ideally over rice or noodles.
Notes
For added texture, dry toast chickpeas before adding them to the stir-fry. Don’t overcrowd the pan; cook in batches if necessary.
